Fremont County's biggest annual musical event is the Belvedere Blues Festival, held each fall in Cañon City. The Tenth Annual festival will take place September 11-13, 2009 - our biggest and best ever! Sponsored and produced by the all-volunteer (no paid staff!) Belvedere Community Foundation, the festival will again roll through the weekend inside a big tent behind Merlinos’ Belvedere Restaurant at 1330 Elm Avenue in Cañon City, and the party was always on, rain or shine. The Blues Fest is an annual not-for-profit event fundraiser for local non-profit agencies and charities. The more money we raise over the weekend, the more we can give away to others. And we can have a great time doing it, providing a huge boost to the local economy!

We're proud to announce that Texas blues guitarist Buddy Whittington will return for the 10th annual edition, and he’ll be backed up by The Atomic Fireballs, featuring Carlos Crull! It will be great having Buddy back in town for the 10th anniversary!
